I first stumbled upon Yogen Früz Smoothies in Whole Foods a couple of months ago, but didn't get around to buying them until this past weekend. These are not actually smoothies but rather, they're "all natural fruit + yogurt" candy ... tablets. I picked up a package of the Blueberry Breeze (with Açaí) for $1.99 and tossed it in my purse for later.
These candies sort of remind me of Sweet Tarts, only I like to tell myself they're so much healthier. I mean, in terms of ingredients, there's just pure cane sugar, yogurt, tartaric acid, malic acid, natural blueberry and açaí flavors, ascorbic acid, and natural color as opposed to Dextrose, Maltodextrin, Malic Acid, and Less than 2% of Calcium Stearate, Artificial Flavors, Blue 1 Lake, Blue 2 Lake, Red 40 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake. In terms of calories, a 7-piece serving (approximately 5 per package) provides just 20 calories, no fat, no sodium, 4 grams of carbohydrates, 1 grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar and no protein.
