I was drawn to Wallaby Organic Mango Tangerine Down Under Yogurt because of the tropical flavor. We've reviewed lots of organic yogurts, such as Stonyfield Farm Organic Fat Free French Vanilla Yogurt, Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt (Strawberry) and Horizon Organic Lowfat Strawberry Yogurt, but there haven't been any with such a unique sounding combination. In addition, Wallaby says their yogurt is made by a slow culturing method that is supposed to bring out rich taste and a distinctive creamy texture.
The fruit is on the bottom of thie "Down Under" yogurt, and the packaging suggests a few ways to eat the yogurt - stir first and blend together; yogurt first and save the fruit for last; enjoy tiny bites of both; or dive straight to the bottom for a wallop of flavor. I opted to do the stirring and mixing method, and found a very creamy texture and a delicious flavor. The mango really shines through especially you bite into any of the many pieces, but without being too strong. But it also over-shadowed any tangerine flavor.
