Bread seems to be a very tricky thing in my house. I am always searching for the "perfect trifecta" of taste, nutrition, lower in calories. I've gotten good at finding two out of three, but never the whole gamut. I know, I can just eat an open faced sammie and save some calories, but that will never be a REAL sandwich in my book, people! But I stumbled upon Vermont Bread Company Sprouted Wheat Bread while browsing through Whole Foods,and it looked very promising.
My first test was probably the roughest ... straight up out of the package, no accompaniments. All I can say is WOW! Amazing The bread is sweet, dense, and chewy all in one. It reminded me of a cross between Ezekiel bread and wheat bread that tastes yummy but really isn't 100% whole wheat. I've never enjoyed a bread sans toppings so much before.
