Sunkist Fruit Gummies caught my eye while I was picking up a few items at The Dollar Tree - where everything costs just $1.00. Across the front of the packaging is emblazoned, 35% less sugar than the average leading gummy brands, plus 100% RDA of Vitamin C and it's made with natural fruit juices. Now, I'm not much of a sweets (or chocolate) person, but Gummies are my weakness, so if I find some tasty ones with less sugars, I'm all about it.
I didn't like the fact that all the Gummies were the same nasty brown color - what's up with that Sunkist?! But the taste was pretty darn good - just as good as regular Gummies. I tried to stop at one serving - really I did - but it wasn't to be as the pull was just too strong, and I ended up devouring almost the entire box at once ... and what was left did not make it through the rest of the day.
I put off looking at the nutrition facts for quite a while because I didn't want to know the damage done by my little binge session. Turns out, each box of Sunkist Fruit Gummies has 2.5 servings, and each serving provides 110 calories, no fat or fiber, 15 grams of sugars and 11 grams of sugar alcohols.
