Eating Right is the store brand of Safeway Supermarkets, and so far, I'm loving this cheaper and healthier grocery store brands, which has versions of traditional favorites, from bread to frozen meals. Speaking of cheap, take the Eating Right 100 Calorie Peanut Butter Crisp Nutrition Bar, for example. I picked one up for just 75 cents.
Once I paid for my bar, I tore into it immediately. Let me just say: yum yum yum
! Each bar weighs in at 30 grams and is packed with chewy, peanut buttery deliciousness. The taste is a perfect mix of natural-tasting peanut butter and chocolate. This was infinitely better than the Balance Bar 100-calorie version (although the Balance 100 Calories Vanilla Caramel Crisp Bar is yummy too). The bar doesn't stick to wrapper, either, which frustrated me about the Balance variety.
Each Eating Right Peanut Butter Crisp Nutrition Bar provides 100 calories, 3.5 grams of total fat, 2 grams of which is saturated fat, 5 grams of fiber, 7 grams of sugar, 4 grams of sugar alcohols, 6 grams of protein, and a variety of vitamins and minerals.
