Recently while in Chicago for a visit, I was about to pick up a VitaminWater Zero Lemonade Flavored Water as I was too parched from the heat and just didn't feel like plain old water. But, as I reached for the V, my eyes perceived a cheaper price tag that belonged to Pure American Zero Calorie Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage. At just $1.39 a bottle, these were cheaper than the $1.89 V-Water, so I opted for Tropical Citrus Burst flavor and hoped for the best.
I have to say my expectations weren't really high for this beverage, which looked like a VitaminWater Zero knock-off judging from the very similar label. Still, it wasn't too bad. The taste was a bit sweeter than I wanted, but the flavor itself was nice - citrusy. This was pretty refreshing, but I wished I'd diluted it a bit.
A 1 cup serving of Pure American Zero Calorie Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage has no calories (of course), and daily values of 40% for vitamin C and 20% for niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and pantothenic acid. There are 2.5 servings per container, standard for many vitamin-enhanced waters.
