Metroelectro, produced by the makers of Metromint, is dubbed as an enhanced "micronutrient water" - there are no calories, no sweeteners, and no artificial ingredients. The only additions are zinc to boost one's immune system, antioxidants to protect cells from damage and electrolytes to replenish essential minerals.
Metroelectro tastes ust like good, old fashioned, water! Nothing different here, and I found it pleasantly refreshing. There are also no calories, and the ingredients are, "purified water, electrolytes (magnesium chloride, potassium bicarbonate, calcium chloride), zinc, antioxidants (sodium selenate: selenium)."
I was curious to know how much of each micronutrient was in Metroelectro, so I called Soma Beverages (the parent company of Metroelectro), and thanks to Brian (who provided excellent & efficient customer service) - I had the information in no time. There is 30 mg/L of magnesium chloride, potassium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, 0.059 mg/L of zinc, and 0.005 mg/L of selenium.

There are quite a few Metromint Reviews here on i{ate}A{pie}.net already, so let me share with you a few things that you can expect before you even drink this water. It WILL TASTE like water with a refreshing hit of mint, and it will SMELL like whatever the flavor is ... thus I expected to get a whiff of chocolate and taste none of it; and that's exactly what I experienced with Metromint Chocolatemint Water.
Of course, I LOVE Metromint water. It's very refreshing and the minty gives it an extra chill factor that keeps your mouth cool even after you're done drinking the water - even the bottle has a cool design and makes me feel cool walking around with it. BUT Metromint says, "the luxurious taste of real chocolate fills your mouth ...". Sorry, but I'll have to respectfully dis-agree. At no time did I taste any kind of chocolate flavor, but the mint-chcolate SMELL was strong and flavorful ... that's almost like tasting it right - and no calories, or sugar grams either.

Of their Cherrymint Water, Metromint says on their website, "We combine pure water, cherry essence, and real mint for this subtly sweet beverage. Take one sip and you'd swear you were in an orchard- that's how fresh and juicy Cherrymint tastes."
Well, thanks to the PR company I was able to experience if this was true for myself, and I'll say I came away with mixed feelings about this Cherrymint water. On the one hand, the crisp, clear & very refreshing taste of mint water, is as usual, absolutely delightful. As with the Metromint Peppermint and Lemonmint waters, there is just the right amount of light minty taste to enhance the water. But as for the cherry, while you can definitely SMELL the cherry essence, it's taste is non-existent. So, this "cherrymint" water tastes like plain, minty (no trace of sweetness), water. My description be more like, "smell the cherry, taste the mint."

Metromint says, ... Spearmint seduces with its subtle suggestion of sweetness. Spearmint cajoles, refreshes, and gently enlivens the spirit. Savor Spearmint, sip it or swig it. Soft and smooth, Spearmint satisfies to the last drop. Well, with a description like that, I couldn't wait to try Metromint Spearmint Water.
I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of "spearmint" flavor, but surprisingly, I liked the Metromint Spearmint Water. The "spearmint" flavor is not too strong, and overpowering and there is a pleasantly minty sensation which seems to make water taste fresh and invigorating. When you drink MetroMint cold, it is just so crisp and refreshing!
Metromint Spearmint Water provides no calories, and the ingredients are, purified water & mint.
