8th Continent Light Soymilk (Original) is something that I buy on a regular basis. But, sometimes there's nothing like a glass of chocolate milk. Instead of reaching for a bottle of Hershey's Lite Chocolate Syrup (steer clear of the sugar free variety, it doesn't taste good), I decided to try 8th Continent Light Chocolate Soymilk. Since I also like the Vanilla flavor, I was hoping that I would NOT be disappointed, but sometimes you never know with brands - one flavor can be marvelous, while another is a dud.
It turns out, my slight doubts were un-necessary. You're looking at one rich and creamy milk beverage with a satisfying chocolate flavor. Some of my favorite ways to indulge in this chocolatey delight (other than drinking it straight) includes adding it to coffee for a mocha flavor, eating it on cereal, and even cooking up oatmeal in it for a great chocolate spin on a classic.
Not only does this soymilk taste delicious, it also provides the same protein and calcium counts as regular milk. Each cup of 8th Continent Light Chocolate Soymilk provides 90 calories, 1.5 grams of total fat, 7 grams of protein, 11 grams of sugar, and a plethora of vitamins and minerals including 30% of the daily value for calcium, 25% for vitamin D and 10% for vitamin A.
