When I spotted Yoplait Delights Chocolate Raspberry Parfait near the Jell-O cups, I was immediately sold. They seem like a "grown-up" version to regular yogurt with rich a sounding flavor combination.
The top simply tasted like raspberry yogurt, which was nothing special but did offer some nice fruity notes. However, what I was really itching to introduce my taste buds to was the chocolate goodness that consumed about 2/3 of the little plastic cup. Therefore, I sunk my spoon down to the bottom and enjoyed the full experience. The chocolate yogurt has a flavor similar to Jell-O Pudding; but the artificial sweeteners do leave a slight aftertaste that I could live without. Overall, the texture is slightly thicker than your average yogurt and the chocolate flavor tends to steal the show, although the raspberry essence is not completely lost.
Each 4 ounce Yoplait Delights Chocolate Raspberry Parfait cup provides 100 calories, 1.5 grams of total fat which includes 1 gram of saturated fat (2% & 4% of the daily value), 90 mg of sodium (4% of the DV), 5 grams of protein and 18 grams of carbohydrates including 13 grams of sugar. The ingredients include the artificial sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K. Raspberries also is included in the ingredients list, although there are no fruit pieces in the yogurt (don't let the pictures of raspberries on the label fool you).
While, I enjoyed every bite of my chic Yoplait Delights Chocolate Raspberry Parfait, despite the $2.79 for 4 price tag, I think I will stick with either Jell-O Sugar Free Chocolate Vanilla Pudding Snack or Yoplait Light Fat Free Yogurt (depending on what I'm in the mood for). On another note, have you tried freezing Yoplait Whips (like this commercial suggests)? As you can see here, it turns your yogurt creation into an ice cream type consistency that is hard to beat.
