I stumbled across Fit & Active Nonfat Yogurt in an Aldi supermarket close to me a few weeks ago, and was immediately drawn to the two flavors I saw in the store - Cherries Jubilee and Strawberry Cheesecake. I ultimately opted for the latter; how can I pass up cheesecake?! And each 6 ounce container was only 50 cents! Too sweet a deal to resist.
I brought my yogurt home and dug in right away. I spooned up a bit of the yogurt to taste it and my first impression was: this is some good dee-ee-licious strawberry yogurt. But wait ... isn't this supposed to be a strawberry cheesecake flavor?! I didn't taste the cheesecake at all, except maybe this yogurt was a little creamier than other strawberry yogurts - but definitely nowhere near a real cheesecake flavor. This is just as underwhelming as Breyers Light Boosts Immunity Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt.
Each 6 ounce serving of Fit & Active Nonfat Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt provides 100 calories, no fat, 11 grams of sugar and 6 grams of protein. That's pretty standard for nonfat yogurt. FYI: this is made with aspartame.
The bottom line: this isn't reminiscent of cheesecake in any way. I might just buy this again if it's the cheapest option, but if I need a strawberry yogurt, there are so many choices - like Breyers YoCrunch Light Strawberry Yogurt and Dannon Light n Fit 0% Plus Strawberry Yogurt.
