My love for Fage Total 2% Greek Yogurt is well documented with the good reviews that I gave to the Original & Cherry flavors. I wanted to try all the flavors, so, next uo, I got my hands on the Peach, and I was confident that this would rock too.
Unfortunately, this one was a bit disappointing - it was just somewhat blah. Maybe the peach mixture was just not robust enough to stand up to the rich yogurt, but whatever the case may be, this was not nearly as good as the cherry.
Although it may not have been one of my favorites, it was still not too bad and I did eat the entire thing. Like the Cherry flavor, each 5.3 ounce container of Fage Total 2% Peach Yogurt provides 130 calories, 2.5 grams of total fat of which 1.5 grams is saturated (4% and 8% of the daily value), 2% of the DV for sodium,no fiber, 17 grams of sugar and 11 grams of protein.
FAGE TOTAL Yogurt is 100% natural with no added sweeteners, thickeners or preservatives - the ingredients are, Grade A Pasteurized Skimmed Milk and Cream, Live Active Yogurt Cultures(l.bulgarigus,s.thermophilus). Peach Fruit Preparation(20%): Peaches (8%),Sugar,corn Starch, lemon Juice Concentrate, natural Flavor,xanthan..
I paid $1.89 for a container, and like I said before, it's not my favorite flavor, and I probably won't be buying this one again. I still love you though Fage. I can totally understand the "Greek yogurt snobs" - it's so thick, filling as a snack & delicious. But still, there is a lot of added sugar, and when I'm watching my diet more closely, I tend to stick to the "light" yogurts with less sugar.
