Green Giant Immunity Boost Review
I'm a big fan of the Green Giant line of frozen vegetables. I like how they put some thought into the mix of vegetables in order to optimize their healthy benefits. Recently, I tried the Green Giant Immunity Boost, named for the high amounts of vitamins A and C for a healthy immune system.
This is described on the packaging as having, "Broccoli Florets, Julienne Carrots and Red and Yellow Sweet Pepper Strips In A Garlic-Herb Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil Seasoning." I can vouch for the fact that all the described veggies were present and accounted for - is there anything worse than seeing 2 pieces of something that was featured prominently on the packaging?! The texture was firm, no soggyness here and the garlic-herb olive oil seasoning really enhanced the taste, proving that less is more.

Each cup of frozen vegetables or 2/3 cup prepared serving provides 50 calories, 3 grams of total fat, no saturated fat, 115 milligrams of sodium (5% of the daily value) and 7 grams of carbohydrates, which include 2 grams of dietary fiber and 3 grams of sugars. There is also 1 gram of protein per serving along with 30% DV for vitamin A and 50% DV for vitamin C.
I bought this 7 ounce box (2 servings) while it was on sale for $1 at Kroger, but the regular price is $2. These vegetables are great quality, and the seasoning makes them taste even better if you're not too keen on veggies in general - and without providing a lot of extra calories. I think the regular price for this amount of vegetables is a bit steep compared to other veggie options, but if the flavoring increases the likelihood of someone eating more vegetables, then it's totally worth it.
