Quorn Naked Cutlets Review
The nightly dinner menu of my family usually has chicken, chicken, or ... chicken. With so much chicken around, I, the lone vegetarian of the family, sometimes get a craving for some poultry. For those times, dressing up tofu just doesn't cut it. Instead, I turn to Quorn Chik'n Naked Cutlets.
Quorn products are all meat and soy free. Instead they are made of mycoprotein, which is a fungus derivative. It might sound a bit unappetizing, but trust me, the resulting product is a delicious rival for the real thing in both taste and texture.. The naked cutlets are extremely versatile, meaning you can prepare it in any of the myriad ways that you would prepare real chicken breast. Once thawed, you can throw it on the grill and top with barbecue sauce; sandwich it in a bun and add your favorite fixins' for a mock grilled chicken sandwich. Quorn Naked Cutlets make it easy for a vegetarian to fit in - but it's not just for us non-meat eaters. Everyone else will enjoy this lower calorie alternative to real chicken.

Each substantial cutlet contains a mere 80 calories and 2.5 grams of fat, an impressive reduction from the 130 - 150 calories in a serving (3 ounce portion) of skinless chicken breast. With each Quorn Cutlet you'll also get 11 grams of protein, but beware of this product's 420 mg (18% RDA) of sodium.
I purchased a box of four cutlets at Whole Foods for around $4. They're not cheap, but it's a price I am willing to way for a low calorie meatless wonder that can be adapted to innumerable recipes.
