Morningstar Farms Corn Dogs Review
Morningstar Farms Veggie Corn Dogs are A++. In other words, great! And you're not just taking my word for it. I made one of my strictly carnivorous male friends taste one, and he loved it! First, the outer crust covering has a sweet, corn bread taste to it. Then the 'faux sausage' part in the middle tastes like meat, although it's made from soy. This is so good that it's hard to just have one - in fact, I had 2. There are two ways to make these corn dogs - 20 minutes in the oven, or 2 minutes in the microwave. I did it in the oven, so I'm not sure if it would taste different if done in the microwave.

One corn dog has 150 calories, 4 grams fat, but only 0.5 grams saturated fat, 500 mg sodium (21% of the daily value), 3 grams of fiber, 4 grams sugar and 7 grams protein. The nutrition is not bad at all. I think this would make a great side meal in addition to dinner, instead of chips or fries or some other artery clogging food. And they use wheat flour, instead of bleached, enriched flour. Definitely kudos to Morningstar for trying to improve nutrition. For those strict vegans out there, there are egg white solids and nonfat dry milk in this.
