NuStevia NoCarbs Blend Review

NuStevia NoCarbsI scooped up some samples of NuStevia NoCarbs Blend packets while in my local health foods store. A box of 50 packets usually retails for around $6.49, more than Splenda, but it's potentially worth it for those who like "natural" or low-carb products.

Eager to expand my repertoire of calorie-free sweeteners. I checked out the back of the packets to see that each has no calories, 1 gram of carbs, and < 1 gram of sugar, and was composed of 80 mg of Stevia extract.

My problem with Stevia products is they often have a bitter flavor, so I was excited but a bit hesitant to try this. I went for it, though, putting some in my yogurt and much to my surprise, there was no bitter flavor at all.

This doesn't taste exactly like Splenda or sugar, but it tastes pretty darn good. It sweetens nicely, and is less granular than some sugar substitutes, making it great for sprinkling on foods.

NuStevia NoCarbs Blend also contains rrythritol and natural flavors. Thre is no soy, yeast, gluten, wheat, milk, synthetics, artificial colors or flavors, no msg, preservatives, saccharin, aspartame, sucralose, or artificial sweeteners.

Overall, I was quite favorably impressed by this sweetener. I will probably use it occasionally - for the price, it's not worth it to use it all the time, but it's a nice alternative to my usual sweeteners. Way to restore my faith in Stevia, NuStevia! ... And actually, I just discovered that you can get a box of 50 packets for $3.99 at iHerb.com.
