NXT Nutritionals actually sent me Susta All Natural Sweetener months ago to try. My apologies to NXT and to you dear readers of Iateapie.net, because I should have shared how much I love this sugar substitute with you.
Normally, my sweetener of choice is Splenda and lately PureVia, which to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of, but with Susta, from the first time I added it to my cup of Lipton Tea, I knew the half empty boxes of Splenda and PureVia were not going to be touched for a long time. I had this in my daily cup of tea, in coffee, plus when I made a few batches of lemonade and iced tea - the boyfriend who is averse to any kind of sweetener except sugar, could not tell the difference.
A packet of Susta (2 grams), provides 5 calories and 1 gram of fiber, so it's not non-caloric. I decided to make tea with both sugar and Susta, and I used about half as much Susta as I did sugar - nice calorie savings there! The ingredients are, Inulin, Fructose, Natural Flavors, Probiotic (Bacillus Coagulans), Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), Cinnamon Extract, Goji Berry Extract, Bitter Melon Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Vitamin B6, Niacinamide, Biotic, Folic Acid, Chromium, Selenium, Vitamin B12.
If you're looking for an all-natural sugar substitute, then you should definitely give this a try. I actually preferred it to Pure-Via. A 50 count box can be purchased for $6.99 at SustaStore.com, and in my opinion is totally worth it.
