De Wafelbakkers definitely has this whole "pancake thing" down to a science. I was thrilled with their Buckwheat Berry Pancakes and when I found their Whole Grain variety on sale for a mere $1.00 at Wal-Mart, I figured they would be worth it (and are they ever)!
Two pancakes weigh 78 grams and provides 180 calories, 5 grams of fat (8% of the RDA), no saturated fat, 300 mg of sodium (eek...13% of the daily value), 6 grams of fiber (24% of the RDA), 9 grams of sugar, 4 grams of protein and 8-10% of the RDA for iron and calcium.
The ingredient list contains 13 discernible ingredients from whole wheat flour and fructan (a natural dietary fiber), to egg whites and natural butter flavor. You will not find artificial colors and preservatives.
You never know what variety of De Wafelbakker's Pancakes Wal-Mart will be carrying each week (there is a sweet potato flavor that I am itching to try), but you can be sure that they will be delicious and well worth trying - not everyday though, but certainly for when you're having a big delicious breakfast, be sure to include this.
