Oskri Organics Quinoa BarYou could say that after my glowing reviews of Oskri Cashew Bar and Oskri Organics Quinoa Bar, I'm decidedly more than a fan. I had to have more and so I was delighted when I found Oskri Organics Coconut Bars.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 bar (53 grams)
Calories: 230
Total Fat: 17 grams, 26%
Saturated Fat: 15 grams, 75%
Sodium: 52 mg, 2%
Carbohydrates:27 grams
Fiber: 5 grams, 20%
Sugar: 15 grams
Protein: 2 grams

This bar has two ingredients: coconut and rice syrup. It's so refreshing to see a snack not chock-full of artificial and unpronounceable ingredients and additives. Accordingly, the taste was just as simple - this bar was like a big block of slightly sweetened coconut. It was really good for the first few bites, but then I found it grew a bit overwhelming. Maybe 53 grams of coconut and rice syrup is just a bit too much. Had it been half this size, it would have been perfect.

If I had looked at the nutrition facts first, I probably would have skipped eating this bar. Each 53 gram serving of an Oskri Organics Coconut Bar provides 264 calories, 26% of the daily value for total fat and 75% of the DV for saturated fat! There is also 5 grams of fiber, 15 grams of sugars and 2 grams of protein.

Sure the fat is from natural sources, but there's way too much of it for me to be getting from just one snack. I suggest they at least cut the size of this bar in half - that would at least improve the taste and nutrition facts - 53 grams of this is too much (in many ways).
