Think products say thinkFruit is a pure, unprocessed fruit and nut bar that harnesses the natural superpowers contained in certain fruits and marries them with protein-rich nuts that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, to create a tasty, functional food that boosts immunity and protects you from disease. All the unproven boasting by thinkFruit aside, I decided to try this bar because, I've never met a superfruit that I could resist.
I picked up the ThinkFruit Apple Noni Nourish Bar. I ended up tearing into it on my way to the gym, and I had to say I thought it would be good - I love fruit bars, but this managed to surprise me. It was sweet, as expected, but there were little pieces of I'm not sure what in it too - maybe flaxseed, fruit or cashew. Whatever it was, it added a little texture to make it even yummier than my favorite fruit bar, the LaraBar Cherry Pie Bar.
Each 50 gram ThinkFruit Apple Noni Nourish Bar provides 180 calories, 7 grams of total fat which includes 1 gram of saturated fat (11% and 5% of the daily value), 3 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbohydrates which includes 5 grams of fiber (28% of the DV) and 20 grams of sugar. The ingredients in this bar are dates, cashews, apples, raisins, almonds, chicory root fiber, flaxseeds, natural flavors, cinnamon, noni.
I bought this bar for $1.76 from a local supermarket, and while I loved the taste, each bar has too much sugar in it for me to make this a regular purchase. Still, for those people who go on long runs and want to refuel quickly, this bar might do the trick.
