Nature Valley Oats 'n Honey Crunchy Granola BarsNature Valley Oats 'n Honey Crunchy Granola Bar is described as, 100% natural bars, full of classic crunch and whole grain goodness, making them a completely natural energy boost ... bite into one anytime, anywhere for an invigorating treat of quality whole grain. Well, the combination of honey, brown sugar syrup, and oats sounded hearty and satisfying, so I picked up a pack (which has 1 serving of 2 bars), for just 75 cents.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 2 bars (42 grams)

I opened the package and examined the contents. What I found were two crunchy densely packed rectangles, composed of an oaty matrix and laced with the honey and brown sugar listed above. I broke off a piece and took a bite. Mmmm ... the flavor was mellow and nice - and I'm not a big honey person. I must say that it was very sweet though, but for some reason I didn't mind. It was super crunchy as well.

Each 42-gram 2 bar serving of Nature Valley Oats 'n Honey Crunchy Granola Bars provides 190 calories, 6 grams of total fat (9% of the daily value), 3% of the DV for saturated fat, 2 grams of fiber, 12 grams of sugars, and 4 grams of protein.

The ingredient list is also nice and short, including just whole grain oats, sugar, canola oil, yellow corn flour, honey, soy flour, brown sugar syrup, salt, soy lecithin, baking soda, and natural flavor.

Each bar is small by itself, but I like the fact that they make 2 bars a serving. I usually eat one with some yogurt as a morning snack, and then the same thing again later on in the day as my PM snack. There seems to always be a Nature Valley coupon on Coupons.com, making these bars even more reasonable. Stock up people - especially those of you with kids - because this tastes good, will satisfy them, and while not filled with a bounty of protein & fiber, the ingredients list is quite reasonable.
