Kind Fruit and Nut DelightMy preference for nutrition bars run towards those that have all natural ingredients, rather than for ones that are low carb, high protein etc. KIND Fruit+Nut is a line of all-natural fruit and nut energy bars made with wholesome ingredients. There are many flavors to choose from including Banana Oat bran, Macadamia & Apricot,Almonds & Apricots, Nut Delight,Almond & Coconut,Sesame & Peanuts in Chocolate, and Walnut & Date. I settled on testing out the Fruit and Nut Delight flavor. KIND says, "this nutrient-packed health cocktail of almonds, Brazil nuts, peanuts and walnuts is a good source of dietary fiber, magnesium, copper, folic acid, vegetable protein, potassium, and vitamin E."

This all natural, gluten, wheat and dairy free bar was very satisfying. It had a wonderful sweet nutty aroma and the taste was even better. The fruit and nuts mingled together perfectly. It was just the right balance between sweet and savory. The ingredient list was pretty simple and straight forward: Mixed nuts [Peanuts, almonds, Brazil nuts walnuts] dried fruits (raisins, apricots (apricot paste, glycerol (vegetable based), pectin, apple fiber, citric acid], dates), honey, glucose, puffed rice, linseed, chicory fiber, soy lecithin.

Each 40 gram Kind Fruit and Nut Delight Bar provides 170 calories from 11 grams of total fat, 1.5 grams of which is saturated (11% and 8% of the daily value), 5 grams of protein and 16 grams of carbohydrates including 3 grams of fiber (12% of the DV) and 12 grams of sugar.

When my craving strikes for a simple sweet treat these are a nice detour from a Larabar, offering more crunch and variety. Don't get me wrong-I still love my Larabars! It is just nice to have another natural snack to turn to. I am stocking up, and for only $1.59, I won't break the bank purchasing these either.
