Vitalicious Double Chocolate Dream VitaTopsI am a huge VitaTops fan. So far I have had good luck with the flavors I have tried, like the AppleBerry Bran and Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip VitaTops (the only exception is probably the Chocolate Figs VitaTops, which I will just consider an odd anomaly). One variety that I hadn't sampled before now was the Double Chocolate Dream. This variety has a rich chocolate background and is studded with white chocolate chips (more chips than in the Fudgy Peanut Butter variety).

NUTRITION FACTS

I pulled a top out of its package and heated it up in the microwave, which is definitely the way to eat these things. I dug in with gusto, finding that the combination of rich chocolate and slightly melted chips was a perfect palate pleaser. I liked this better than the peanut butter variety because, the straight up chocolate flavor seemed more tasty than when it's mixed with something else.

Each 55 gram Vitalicious Double Chocolate Dream VitaTop provides 100 calories, 2% of the daily value for total and 5% of the DV for saturated fat, 6 grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, 2 grams of sugar alcohols, 3 grams of protein, a bevy of vitamins and minerals (50% of the RDA for vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, iron, riboflavin, folic acid, biotin, and zinc, as well as a few others) .

These VitaTops are a definite do. A 12-pack costs $16 on the Vitalicious website, which works out to $1.33 each which is a little more than some other brands, but totally worth it. Vitalicious scores again, because the Double Chocolate Dream VitaTop is a hit!

I usually have a vitatop with something to drink (water), and I eat it slowly, really enjoying it. It helps keeps me from wanting to reach for more and more. What's your favorite VitaTop - I think I need to keep trying more varieties.
