Bom Dia Acai Berry with Pomegranate Juice Review
You have got to check out the Bom Dia website, which is gorgeous, but it is the tropical rainforest sound effects that really set it off [link]. Quite soothing don't you think?
When it comes to antioxidants, acai juice is the best source (currently), with approximately 50% more than pomegranate juice, which is the next best source. Bom Dia (which means good morning in Portuguese) has Acai Juices made with a combination of Cacao, Mangosteen or Pomegranate Juice - which is the one being reviewed. I loved the taste of this beverage better than pomegranate juice only and better than the other acai juices I have previously tried (Bossa Nova and Brazil Gourmet Acai Nectar). It has a sweet yet tart taste, slightly similar to cranberry juice. Finally somebody figured they needed to cut the sweetness of these juices a bit (with natural methods of course). Sure it's a sort of brownish color but don't let that hold you back from trying this. You also get 2 servings of fruit per bottle. The ingredients are acai juice, pomegranate juice (from concentrate), apple juice (from concentrate), guaranara, cabernet sauvignon grape juice, natural flavors and ascorbic acid.

One bottle of Bom Dia Acai Berry with Pomegranate is 11.5 ounces. One serving is 8 ounces and has 122 calories, 1 gram of total fat, no saturated or trans, 1% of the daily requirement of sodium (32 mg), 2 grams of protein and 27 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 1 gram of fiber (3% of the daily requirement) and 27 grams of sugar. This means that 1 bottle has 175 calories and 39 grams of sugar (16 ounces would be 244 calories and 54 grams of sugar - almost double what's in the 100% pomegranate juices reviewed).
I really liked this acai juice, which cost $2.99 at the time of purchase. The bottle has a cute little design and the website is well made. I'm still listening to the tropical rainforest sounds almost 1 hour later. There is a lot of sugar, so I might not be drinking this often, but I will definitely be on the lookout for this when I am in the mood for fruit juice. The other Bom Dia juices are reviewed at BevNet [link].
