Temptation Ice Cream is an all natural VEGAN and Gluten Free ice cream. I tried the French Vanilla flavor and it was absolutely delicious! The vanilla flavor was perfect and the texture was incredibly smooth and creamy, just as they promised. The description according to GoTemptation.com says they, "use only the finest all natural, organic, locally produced, and fair trade ingredients available. Hand crafted in small batches, Temptation is made by dedicated vegans on dedicated vegan equipment. No other national brand can say that! "

Impressive to say the least, and so are the ingredients. The first ingredient is Chicago Soy dairy Soy milk, followed by organic evaporated cane juice, organic soybean oil, corn maltodextrin, natural French vanilla flavor (vegan), guar gum, vegan monoglycerides, citric acid, xanthan gum, carrageenan. I love the fact that the soy milk is local! Living so close to Chicago has its perks and I guess great tasting soy milk is one of them! (Who knew?)

Unfortunately though, Temptation French Vanilla Vegan Ice Cream has more calories and fat than traditional low fat ice cream. Each 1/2 cup serving provides 200 calories, 21% of the daily value for total fat, 10% of the DV for saturated fat and 16 grams of sugars.

While this treat isn't low in calories by any means, I appreciate the simple all natural ingredients and the fact that this is a wonderful vegan treat. This may not be a staple in my freezer but I will purchase it again.
