Dreyers Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice Cream Review

Dreyers Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice CreamLet me start off by saying that the ice cream aisle is my favorite place in the grocery store! However, every time I find my self wandering around there, I am in a quandary. Do I want something on a stick, in a cone, a small pint, a big tub or from a carton? Well, I usually stick with something that is individually wrapped because I have a hard time putting ice cream down, but when I spotted Dreyer's Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice Cream, I had to try it! It combines two wonderfully tasting foods, pumpkin pie and ice cream.

When I opened the carton, the color was a lighter shade of orange than I was expecting, but still appealing. Once I tasted it, I knew why. This ice cream tastes (and looks) like someone scooped the pumpkin pie filling out of its crust and mixed it with the whipped cream that was on top (maybe that is why the picture of pumpkin pie on the carton has a cloud of whipped cream on top!). And it tastes absolutely phenomenal yummy. You can see little specs of spices distributed all throughout each creamy bite! Dreyer's states, "Since 1928 we've dedicated ourselves to making the richest and creamiest ice cream and frozen treats around." Well, Dreyer, I applaud you and your pumpkin creation!

The nutritionals of Dreyers Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice Cream are amazing because this ice cream tastes like it is extremely sinful! Each 1/2 cup serving has 120 calories with 4 grams of fat (6% of the recommended daily amount) and 2.5 grams of saturated fat (13% of the RDA). There are 15 grams of sugar per serving, which is reasonable because this is a wonderful dessert! A few other perks include the all natural flavors, 6% of vitamin A and calcium per serving.

I bought this satisfying treat with 14 servings for $4.00, which is a reasonable price. I would definitely buy it again (and soon because it is limited edition). My advice is that the next time you have guests over for the holidays, put the pie away. Serve your guests this flavorful, rich delight and their mouth (and waistline) will thank you!
