I'm automatically drawn to frozen yogurt in the supermarket, so I had to try the Blue Bell Banana Split Nonfat Frozen Yogurt. The Blue Bell brand has a very limited variety of lowfat/ nonfat options, so I was eager to try out this creative flavor.
What I found was a nice pale yellow color and a creamy texture. To round out the banana split flavor, there were also chocolate and cherry swirls in the frozen yogurt. With these features, I was already satisfied, but what makes this frozen yogurt really unique is the addition of real fruit pieces, including banana, pineapple, and maraschino cherries. The combination of frozen yogurt and actual fruit felt like getting two snacks in one. Yum, yum, yum

Each 1/2 cup serving of Blue Bell Banana Split Nonfat Frozen Yogurt provides 110 calories, no fat, 65 milligrams of sodium (3% of the daily value), 4 grams of protein and 24 grams of carbohydrates, which includes 20 grams of sugar and no fiber.
A half gallon container cost $5.52 at the Wal-Mart. This frozen yogurt was pricey, but it was so tasty and really creative with the banana flavor and real fruit. Still, there is too much sugar, so this so this falls into my "indulgence" category - which is not a bad thing.
