Good Health Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels Review
I have to admit that I like my snacks, but I try to do lower calorie or more natural products where I can. Good Health Natural Foods offers unsalted and salted varieties of their Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels and I decided to buy both to see which I would prefer.
I found that I can enjoy the pretzel/peanut butter combo more when the pretzel base is not coated in salt. However, if you are the type of person that regularly salts your food or simply enjoys saltiness more often than not, the salted variety will most likely please your palate best.

Each bite-sized piece is like a thin, hard pillow encasing a condensed peanut butter cube. The peanut butter reminds me of the type that you usually find in sandwich crackers (but, of course, there is more). The peanut butter provides the slightest hint of sweetness and peanut butter flavor to compliment the crunchy whole-wheat pretzel base. The combo of carbs and peanut butter tends to dry out your mouth a little bit, which is nothing that can't be fixed with a sip of milk (or soy milk) between each bite. It reminds me of the way a peanut butter sandwich occasionally sticks to the roof of your mouth.

A serving of 10 Good Health Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels provides 140 calories, 9% and 5% of the daily value for total and saturated fat, 7% of the DV of sodium (3% of the DV for the unsalted variety), 2 grams of fiber (8% of the DV), 2 grams of sugar and 5 grams of protein. The ingredient list is simply unbleached wheat flour, 100% stone ground whole wheat, peanut butter, cane sugar and baking soda.
I usually see Good Health Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels for a reasonable $3.00 (for a.5 serving bag), and they are available online at the company's website. The thing that Good Health has over some other brands of peanut butter pretzels (like Herr's Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels) is that they don't use hydrogenated oils. The fat content may seem like a lot for a snack, but that's what you will get with any product that uses peanut butter for anything more than flavoring.
