If I were to describe Glenny's Salt & Pepper Soy Crisps in one word, it would be, peppery. In what I feel is a rare misstep on the brand's part, these crisps are just too much. Sure, I like pepper and the crisps are also salty, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the strong peppery taste.
Now, I don't say this lightly - you'll see we have lots of Glenny's reviews, and I've usually said good things, so it pains me to say I didn't enjoy this variety.
Each 18 gram serving of Glenny's Salt & Pepper Soy Crisps provides 70 calories, 1 gram of total fat, 380 mg of sodium (16% of the daily value),1.5 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar, and 5 grams of protein. The crisps are also wheat and gluten free.
The ingredients list is simply, low fat non-GMO soy flour, rice, mid oleic sunflower oil, sea salt, black pepper ... black pepper might be the last ingredient but it packs a solid punch in this case.
At $1.09 a pack (which has 2 servings), these are a good deal, but the Glenny's Salt & Pepper Soy Crisps weren't my favorite flavor - that honor still belongs to Glenny's Lightly Salted Soy Crisps Review, with Glenny's Apple Cinnamon Soy Crisps coming a close 2nd.
Have you tried any of Glenny's Soy Crisps? What's your favorite flavor? And do you like "hot/ peppery" chips?
