Glenny's Cheddar Soy Crisps Review

Glenny's Cheddar Soy CrispsGlenny's holds a special place in my heart because I love them so. My mainstays are the Lightly Salted Soy Crisps and the 100 calorie Peanut Butter Brownies - sometimes I like to go more towards the sweet or savory end, but the latter was on my mind when I picked up a bag of Glenny's Cheddar Soy Crisps the other day. Glenny's describes this as, "dreamy golden cheddar cheese baked to perfection in a light and crunchy soy crisp." Sounds dee-lishous and I couldn't wait to rip open the bag.

When I did, I found that the cheddar flavor makes these chips some of the best I've had. It has a nice zippy flavor that manages to be powerful yet not overwhelming, and not artificial at all. The crisps themselves have a nice crunch, and there are quite a few in each bag, making the snack last a while.

After eating just a few of these, I knew I would be buying this more often. So glad I discovered these yummy Glenny's snacks (although my Lightly Salted crisps will not be forgotten).

Each 18 gram serving (half of the bag) of Glenny's Cheddar Soy Crisps provides 70 calories, 3% of the daily value for total fat, 8% of the daily value for sodium, 3 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar and 4.5 grams of protein. There is also 30% of the DV for calcium and 40% for folic acid. Ehese chips are also gluten free.

The ingredient list is a bit long, and starts with low fat non-GMO soy flour, rice and cheddar cheese powder. At $1.50, these aren't as cheap as other chips, but these are delicious, low fat and not too high in calories.
