There are so many brands of tortilla chips on the market that it almost makes my head hurt thinking about it; not to mention that, for the most part, they taste very similar. So how do you find a uniquely delicious specimen? Lots of trial and error! But that's how I found Garden of Eatin' Mini Yellow Rounds. After falling in love with Garden of Eatin Blue Chips, I figured I would try another variety of theirs - not to mention, they were on sale for $1.99.
Garden of Eatin' says it best. "The only thing "mini" about these chips is their size. Made from organic golden yellow kernels ... loaded with authentic corn taste. They're delicious straight from the bag, or dipped into the nearest salsa jar or guacamole bowl."
Each crunchy bite is like a fiesta in your mouth! There is a discernible corn flavor that melds with the perfectly salty seasoning for a delightful tortilla chip. The shocker is that there is only 2% of the daily value for sodium in each serving. The sturdy, bite-sized structure of these little rounds makes them perfect for snacking, dipping or topping.
The nutrition label does not vary too much from every other tortilla chip. However, unlike some companies, Garden of Eatin' products are certified organic and contain no partially hydrogenated oils or preservatives. Each 19 chip serving of Garden of Eatin' Mini Yellow Rounds provides 140 calories, 11% of the daily value for total fat, 4% of the DV for saturated fat, 55 mg of sodium, 2 grams of fiber and protein (no sugar). Furthermore, the only ingredients you will find in these all natural delights are, Organic yellow corn, expeller pressed oleic safflower and/or sunflower oil, sea salt.
Garden of Eatin' Mini Yellow Rounds may be my new favorite tortilla chips. They have such an awesome flavor, which I could not possibly articulate to its fullest. Go out and try these mini rounds for yourself; I have a hunch that you will feel the same way.
