Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain Cheddar Goldfish Crackers Review
With all of the emphasis being put onto whole grains, many cracker companies have started offering whole wheat or multi-grain variations of tried and true classics. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to disappointing textures or bitter aftertastes. Goldfish is merely fallowing the trend, but I must way, they've taken to it exceptionally well.
Everything that you love about Goldfish is still there; the sharp cheddar flavor, the crunchy yet somehow tender texture crackers shaped as cute little happy fish. I detected a mild wheat flavor, but it wasn't enough to overwhelm the cheddar flavor. They still hold up well in soup, though still get soggy after a little while. They naturally have a browner color than regular Goldfish, but considering the neon yellow hue of the original, this is a welcome difference.

One serving of Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain Goldfish Crackers (55 crackers) contains 140 calories, 5 grams of total fat (8% of the RDA), 1 gram of which is saturated (5% of the RDA), 250 milligrams of sodium (10% of the RDA), 20 grams of total carbohydrates and 4 grams of protein. Unlike regular Goldfish, it also contains 2 grams of fiber.
A small bag will cost you about $1.50, and a large economy-sized carton will cost around $5. I hope that Pepperidge Farms decides to release more flavors of Whole Grain Goldfish, as these are great crackers.
