Back to Nature Organic Stoneground Wheats Crackers Review

Rating:

Back to Nature Organic Stoneground WheatsThere are so many choices being offered in the snack aisle of grocery stores that making a decision can cause a headache (well maybe not really, but you get the point). I was ready to try something different though, so I bypassed my favorites like Wheat Thins Veggie Chips and Kashi TLC Crackers, and after perusing for a bit, I came upon Back to Nature Organic Stoneground Wheats.

The label flaunts some bold statements which is what initially caught my eye. They are USDA Organic, contain no hydrogenated oils and are chock-full of noticeable flaxseed (as the picture reveals). Well, into the cart it went. When I tore into the box later that night, I found that each crispy cracker is a respectable size and shaped like a fat oval, posing as a circle! The texture of every bite is full of flakiness and crunchiness. While, it may be a bit of a shocker at first to see black specs scattered throughout your snack, do not let that discourage you! They are not overly salted or seasoned, yet still entice your taste buds!

One serving of Back to Nature Organic Stoneground Wheats is 5 crackers and provides 70 calories, 2.5 grams of total fat (4% of the RDA), no saturated fat, 135 mg of sodium (6% of the RDA), and 11 grams of total carbohydrates which includes less than 1 gram of fiber and sugar. The ingredient list is full of wholesome organic flours, oils and cane juice with just a few other organic elements mixed in!

Even though I would like to see a bit more fiber in each serving, all in all, the nutritionals are pretty astounding! I paid $2.70 for a box which has 11 servings. I feel that it was well worth the tasting endeavor and I will definitely be adding these to my list of yummy cracker options.
