What's your favorite variety of Kashi TLC Crackers? They have Original 7 Grain (read the 5 star review), Country Cheddar (voted a favorite by Jen in the comments), Fire Roasted Vegetable, Natural Ranch, and Honey Sesame. Since I am a huge fan of many sesame dishes, I picked up the Honey Sesame Crackers to try out.
These cute little rectangular crackers, stamped with a little grain pattern, are the perfect thing to munch on when you're craving something both sweet and salty. The crackers are crunchy, with a wonderful rustic texture; you can actually feel some of the grains and seeds in your mouth. This might sound like a turn-off to some, but I assure you, the texture is so natural that anything more refined would feel bizarre. The crackers are fairly sweet from the honey, but the flavors of sesame complimented by a light salting does a good job at balancing the sweetness.
One serving of Kashi Honey Sesame Tasty Little Crackers (15 crackers) provides 130 calories, 3 grams of fat, no saturated fat, 160 mg of sodium, 3 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. With modest fat, moderate sodium, and a decent amount of fiber and protein, these crackers are a pretty good nutritional bargain. The ingredients are all-natural, and promise Kashi's "seven whole-grains on a mission."
One box will cost you around $2.00, which is comparable to most other brands. Kashi says, "when you want a snack but can't decide between salty or sweet, TLC Honey Sesame crackers are the perfect option. You'll love the delicate balance of natural honey and nutty sesame." I wholeheartedly agree. These are great out of the box or spread with Laughing Cow Light Spreadable Original Swiss Cheese Flavor Wedges.
