Like the Weight Watchers Lemon Cake with Lemon Icing, I found the Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Cookie in my aunt's pantry when I was over for a visit. My love for peanut butter gave me high hopes for this product. But once again, like the Weight Watchers Lemon Cake with Lemon Icing, I found these to be quite small, especially since each 1 is a serving (worth 1 WW Point).
Then again, they are so delicious that they may just satisfy your burning sweet tooth. After ripping through the cellophane wrap, I bit into the soft cookie and was delighted by the smooth peanut butter flavor that the chewy cookie possessed. YUM! It was pure bliss ... that ended too soon.
The nutritional information is comparable to other weight watcher items, containing a not-so-impressive ingredient list (cue partially hydrogenated oils). Each 25 gram cookie provides 90 calories from 3 grams of fat, of which 0.5 grams is saturated fat (5% & 2% of the daily value), 160 mg of sodium (7% of the DV), 2 grams of protein and 17 grams of carbohydrates which includes 4 grams of fiber (16% of the DV) and 8 grams of sugar.
One reason I have refrained from purchasing Weight Watchers' sweet treats is because they tend to be quite expensive, pushing $3.50 or so. That, along with the long ingredient list, makes this processed treat much less appealing, despite the stellar taste and texture.
