Penny's Low Fat Desserts offers a whole slew of big, low fat, all natural, preservative free treats. My sweet tooth is bigger than all of my other teeth combined Penny's No Sugar Added Chocolate Truffle Cookie, so when I discovered that Penny's No Sugar Added Chocolate Truffle Cookie was also all natural and low fat, I jumped at the chance to try it.

The fact that this chocolate-packed treat contains only 100 calories is somewhat mind boggling. Furthermore, each 56 gram cookie has 3 grams of total fat, 1.5 grams of which is saturated fat (5 & 7% of the daily value), 7 grams of fiber (26% of the DV), 3 grams of sugar, 14 grams of sugar alcohol and 3 grams of protein. The sugar substitutes come in the form of erythritol and rebiana (Stevia).

well, I set to work on getting my cookie heated in the toaster after checking out the nutrition facts. Penny's fudgy creation reminded me of a firm, yet dense brownie that was cut out of the corner of the pan. It's somewhat crumbly and will break apart, but with each bite that you excitedly place within your mouth (trust me, you'll be excited by this point), the crumbly and dense cookie transforms into a fudgy delight with a smooth and creamy truffle-like mouth feel. The dense, good-sized cookie is enjoyable and very chocolate-y; perhaps too much chocolatey goodness? No, what am I thinking!!

A 16 count box (or two) of Penny's No Sugar Added Chocolate Truffle Cookie can be ordered online for $28.99 ($1.81/cookie). This is not exactly cheap, but you should understand that these all natural, high fiber, no sugar added cookies are truly something special and will cure any chocolate craving, without leaving you regretting the calories.
