I came across the reviews for Jensen's Orchard All Natural Chips here on Iateapie.net, and I couldn't help but think they looked a lot like the Snyder's Eat Smart Veggie Crisps I had just bought for $3.99. Snyder's says their Eat Smart Veggie Crisps, "blend the garden fresh goodness of real potatoes, tomatoes and spinach so you can savor their natural vegetable flavors."
I tore into my bag of Snyder's and really enjoyed their crispy goodness. The different colored chips taste different from one another, but they all taste delicious. They're thicker and not as greasy as regular potato chips, but they have a satisfyingly savory taste nonetheless.
I flipped over the Snyder's Eat Smart Veggie Crisps to compare the nutritional information to that on the Jensen's Orchard variety, and found them to be remarkably similar. Snyder's provides 140 calories from 7 grams of fat (11% of the daily value), 0.5 grams of which is saturated (3% of the DV), 150 mg sodium (6% of the DV), 2 grams of fiber, and 1 gram of protein per 30-gram serving. Jensen's Veggie Crisps provides 130 calories, 7 grams of fat (0.5 grams of saturated), 280 mg of sodium, 2 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of protein. The ingredients are Whole Potato Flour, Vegetable Oil (one or more of the following: Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil or Canola Oil), Tomato Puree, Spinach and Beet Powders, Turmeric, and Salt.
Like I said, I'm a big fan of these chips and can highly recommend them. Lizabeth also reviewed Snyder's Multi-Grain French Onion Sunflower Chips and she gave it 2 thumbs up. It is a little pricey, but worth it. Plus it's great for parties. The colors are great and the sturdier, thicker chips are great for dipping into Hummus.
