Food Should Taste Good Chocolate Tortilla Chips Review
When I tried Food Should Taste Good Cinnamon Tortilla Chips, I knew I would be going through all the other flavors because that one was just too delicious. Since Tanya had already reviewed Food Should Taste Good MultiGrain Tortilla Chips, I decided to go for the bolder Chocolate variety, which I picked up at my local grocery for $2.69.
Has anyone ever had chocolate chips? I hadn't, and didn't know if it would be good, but I was still willing to give it a try because the folks at Food Should Taste Good seem to know what they're doing. I was expecting a sweet crunchy snack, but after munching on a few, I would just like to tell anyone who hasn't tried this before: do not think that this will satisfy any cravings for sweet. The naked chip is tortilla based, but unfortunately the cocoa flavor does not completely convince me I'm eating something sweet. That's not to say the chocolate chip isn't a great tortilla chip - salty, crunchy, with a subtle flavor of cocoa - but, if I was craving something sweet, this simply wouldn't do. I'd put it in the salty family category.

While the chips aren't as sweet as one would think, they're still enjoyable with their 'different from the norm taste' (and that's a good thing). I've taken to pulverizing and adding to yogurt or oatmeal, and they add a nice crunch and flavor without getting soggy or adding a ton of calories like granola does. But, while the ingredients list is fantastic for these all natural chips (also gluten and lactose free), the serving size is small and if you dip into something sweet, it's a pretty indulgent snack. Personally, I'd rather save the calories for Food Should Taste Good Cinnamon Tortilla Chips.
