Knudsen Blueberry Cottage DoublesI really like cottage cheese, as it's nice and salty and talk about versatile! It goes great with eggs, for example, and the whipped kind is a nice cream cheese substitute. Sometimes I like to dress it up, though as there's only so much of it I can take plain. Knudsen Blueberry Cottage Doubles does just that - it offers the staple (cottage cheese) with an exciting twist of a fruit-flavored pairing. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to pick one of these up.

A container has two sections, one for the cottage cheese and a smaller one of fruit-flavored goop. It's basically like a slightly more spreadable jelly, which is good on a bagel, but I wasn't sure how it would work with the yogurt. I scooped up some blueberry jelly added some cottage cheese, and tasted. I wanted to like this a lot, but for me it was just okay. The blueberry stuff was quite sweet, and I thought it overpowered the cottage cheese somewhat.

Each portable container of Knudsen Blueberry Cottage Doubles (156 grams) provides 140 calories, 6% and 8% of the daily value for total and saturated fat, 16% of the DV for sodium, 1 gram of fiber, 14 grams of sugar and 11 grams of protein.

The pros: Okay taste & a good amount of protein.
The cons: Too much sugar - the whole point of cottage cheese is to get a low calorie, protein filled snack, so other than fruit, I'm not big on the introduction of other less healthful ingredients.

I bought a container for $1.89 and although this flavor wasn't particularly tasty, I might get it in a pinch, but hopefully the other flavors are better. If you've tried it, leave a comment letting us know your favorite Knudsen Cottage Doubles variety.
