I really enjoyed Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Multi Bran Cereal - the taste, nutrition facts & ingredients list are all on point! I decided to try another of Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Cereals, and so I picked up the Pumpkin Raisin variety.
The box describes this cereal as an "excellent source of omega-3." The ingredients are, Organic whole wheat meal, organic wheat bran, organic raisins (coated with organic sunflower oil), organic rolled oats, organic evaporated cane juice, organic flax, organic soy oil, organic brown rice flour, organic oat bran, organic pumpkin seeds, organic barley malt extract, sea salt, organic oat syrup solids (organic oat syrup solids, tocopherols), tocopherols, (natural vitamin E), organic molasses, organic cinnamon.
I poured myself a bowl of cereal with some Silk Light Vanilla SoyMilk and took my first tablespoon full. I thought this was just ... meh. I'm sure you want a better description than that, so let me say that despite having sunflower seeds and raisins, this cereal still tasted kinda plain. It's missing a wow factor, like the Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Maple Pecan Crunch Cereal has.
Each 3/4 cup serving of Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Pumpkin Raisin Crunch Cereal provides 210 calories, 4.5 grams of total fat, 0.5 grams of which is saturated, 7 grams of fiber, 13 grams of sugar (28% of the daily value), 6 grams of protein, and 13 grams of sugars.
I bought a 11.5 ounce box for $3.29 on sale, but this cereal is available online at World Pantry for $4.79. I probably wouldn't buy this variety again, but instead would go for either the Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Maple Pecan Crunch Cereal or Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Multi Bran Cereal Review. But although these cereals have stellar ingredients list and taste delicious, they are calorie dense - so I wouldn't be buying this too often (not if I'm trying to cut calories).
