ZonePerfect Indulgence Nutrition Squares (Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse) Review

When I got an email about trying the ZonePerfect Indulgence Nutrition Squares, I said yes without hesitation. I had already tried the German Chocolate Cheesecake ZonePerfect Indulgence Nutrition Squares and the taste was pure deliciousness, plus the ZonePerfect All Natural Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bars Review are amazing.

This variety of the ZonePerfect Indulgence Squares is described as "a fluffy peanut butter mousse with a smooth chocolaty coating," which sounded delicious to me and my taste buds ... the chocolate and peanut butter combination is one of my favorites. I unwrapped the treat and found a chocolate-coated square which, when I bit into it, revealed a layer of crunch and a layer of peanut butter. To be honest, the taste didn't wow me at first - it seemed a bit artificial, which is never fun. However, after a couple more bites, it grew on me. The texture was mousse-like and chewy at the same time, airy and delicious. The square was hefty enough at 45 grams, to keep me satisfied, too - no small feat.

Each ZonePerfect Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Indulgence Nutrition Square (45 grams) provides 190 calories, 11% of the daily value for total fat, 18% of the DV for saturated fat, 7% of the DV for sodium, 3 grams of fiber, 15 grams of sugars, and 10 grams of protein. Furthermore, each square is chock-full of vitamins and minerals. The one thing about ZonePerfect bars is that they tend to be high in saturated fat.

I got my treats as a sample from the company, but they are available online at the Abbott Nutrition store at $7.80 for a 4-pack. I like this, but would probably buy this only as a substitute for candy or something else nutritionally horrific, because of the saturated fat.
