ChocoPerfection BarsChocoperfection Bars says they, "Take the finest, most scrumptious imported European chocolate and sweeten it with sugar-free natural ingredients that taste exactly like sugar." Well, with a description like that - I HAD to try it. Visions of a delicious, sugar-free chocolate bar danced before my eyes - or it maybe it was more like delusions, because I didn't think it was really possible.

The Good: They aren't kidding, these things are delicious and you would never know they are naturally sugar free. No sugar alcohols, no Splenda, no weird after taste, ... nothing but a smooth, creamy, rich chocolate taste. It's not as "full bodied" as most chocolates, so don't expect this to taste as good as the good gourmet stuff - but this is still good and a fantastic sugar free replacement (diabetics rejoice). My only gripe is that these bars are a little dry.

The Bad: Each sizeable bar provides 55% of the daily value for saturated fat! That's too much to ingest just from a snack! The other nutrition facts are pretty good: 2 grams net carbs with 56% of the DV for fiber, sugar free, and 197 calories.

On top of the great taste, the ingredients are short and sweet: Cocoa Solids, Oligofructose, Erythritol, Cocoa Butter, Lecithin, and Natural Flavors. I purchased this ChocoPerfection at my local health food store for $2.99, which, I know is a nit steep for a candy bar, but it was worth trying. It's also available online ($33.99 for a box with 12 bars).

These bars definitely take care of the sugar aspect, and the taste is on point, but with all that saturated fat, this can't be anything more than an occasional indulgence.
