Chocolite Chocolate Chip Brownie Bites Review

Chocolite makes some delicious, sugar free products, like Chocolite Crispy Caramel Bites and Chocolite Peanut Chews. Now, I had a sampler pack with Chocolite Chocolate Chip Brownie Bites, which aren't sugar free, but they only have 4 grams of sugars in 3 brownie bites and 8 Net Carbs overall; so I had high hopes that they would live up to all the other delicious Chocolite products that I had tried before.

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in these brownie babies. Why are they so dry, Chocolite? These aren't at all like brownies. They're chocolatey, although a bit artificial, but the biggest thing I noticed was how absolutely dry they were. They're actually a bit like chocolate-covered cookies, which is not really a bad thing, but just don't get these thinking you're getting a rich, fudgy brownie.

A 3-brownie serving of Chocolite Chocolate Chip Brownie Bites (there are three per package) provides 90 calories, 15% of the daily value for saturated (that's a lot considering the brownie bite serving is a little small), 5 grams of fiber (20% of the DV), 4 grams of sugar, 3 grams of the sugar alcohol erythritol and 2 grams of protein.

The ingredients are, Chocolate Coating (Cocoa Solids, Chicory Root Fiber, Erythritol, Milkfat, Soya Lecithin, Vanilla Flavor.) Chocolate Chip Brownie (Wheat Flour, Honey, Chocolate Chips (Barley, Cocoa, Chocolate Liquor, Natural Flavors), Egg Whites, Prune Juice, Defatted Cocoa, Baking Soda (Aluminum Free).

I got my Chocolites for free, but these are available at Healthsmart Foods for $1.49 each. Given the price, taste, and nutrition (lots of fiber but too much saturated fat), I won't be buying these again. Back to the Chocolite Peanut Chews for me. If it's brownie bites you're after, it's better to go with Mrs. Freshley's SnackAway 100 Calorie Mini Fudge Brownie Bites, which has a little more sugar (10 grams), but less saturated fat, same amount of fiber and a much better taste. Also Vitalicious Deep & Velvety Chocolate VitaBrownie and Glenny's Organic 100 Calorie Brownies are good options.
