Weight Watchers Whole Wheat Bread Review

Rating:

Weight Watchers Whole Wheat BreadArnold Bakery Light Wheat Bread has been rocking my world lately, but I'm still always on the lookout for low-calorie, delicious bread - they say variety is the spice of life. When I saw Weight Watchers 100% Whole Wheat Bread, I decided that it was worth trying - mostly because it had the Weight Watchers name associated with it, and I was eager to compare it to my beloved low-calorie, high-fiber bread staples. And the 11-serving loaf was $3.99, only $0.10 more than the Arnold brand.

Oh, this Weight Watchers bread was deliciously yum WooHoo. Each sizable slice was pleasantly wheat-y and soft, and the bread was perfect for PB&J and grilled cheese alike. I liked this brand even more than the Arnold bread, as the slices seemed bigger and softer. I bought the loaf on Monday and used it throughout the week for fresh, tasty sandwiches and French toast (breakfast, lunch, and dinner!), even using the ends for a sandwich so as not to waste anything. Yes, it was that good.

Each 2 slice serving (41 grams) of Weight Watchers Whole Wheat Bread provides 90 calories, 1 gram of fat (none of it saturated or trans fat), 7% of the daily value for sodium (180 mg), 6 grams of protein and 17 grams of carbohydrates including 5 grams of fiber (20% of the DV) and 2 grams of sugar. There is also 10% RDA of calcium, iron, and folic acid, along with 6% RDA for thiamin and niacin, in each serving.

I think this is now my favorite low-calorie bread, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a yummy, healthy bread fix.
