Pepperidge Farm Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns Review
Hamburgers would not be complete without the bun. I simply cannot bring myself to eat a Boca Burger or those yummy Boca Meatless Spicy Chik'n Patties, on regular bread - it's just not the same. However, if you're watching your calories, it can be hard to find whole grain hamburger varieties that won't blow your calorie budget. So I was thrilled to see the new Pepperidge Farm Classic 100% Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns in the grocery store - into my shopping cart it went!.
It might not be as low in calories as some of the "Lite" hamburger buns on the market, but unlike those buns, these are actually big enough to encase a substantial hamburger patty, chicken breast, or portabella mushroom cap. Another thing that differentiates this bun from others is its softness. While white hamburger buns typically have that "pillowy" texture, whole grain ones can be dense and heavy, sometimes making it hard to bite into. These buns, however, are pleasantly soft, making stuffing your face a breeze.

Each large 43 gram Pepperidge Farm Whole Wheat Hamburger Bun contains 120 calories, 2 grams of fat, and 6 grams of protein; there are also 2 grams of fiber, which is 8% of the recommended daily amount. Although the first ingredient is whole wheat flour, high fructose corn syrup is the third.
I purchased a pack of these on sale for $2.00 at a local supermarket, but they normally retail for almost $3. The price is worth it for an enjoyable taste experience and whole grain goodness.
