Arnold Healthy Multi-Grain Bread Review

Rating:

Arnold Healthy Multi-Grain Bread

I've been a busy bee working on a new project to bring to the web - and it involves food products of course. Oh - and it involves bread, so I went off to the store and decided to pick up Arnold Healthy Multi-Grain Bread.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 slice (43 grams)
Calories: 110
Total Fat: 1.5 grams, 2%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 160 mg, 7%
Carbohydrates: 20 grams
Fiber: 4 grams, 16%
Sugars: 4 grams
Protein: 5 grams

As I sit here writing this review, I'm tearing apart bits of the bread and using it to dab up some Greek yogurt I'm also testing for a future review - and that's breakfast. Clearly I love this bread. The slices are big and soft - perfect to make a filling sandwich for lunch, and the taste is slightly sweet and a little nutty. The crust is studded with sesame seeds, which the kids claim they don't like on their bread, but I like the added texture. And I think using black and white sesame seeds makes this so much more interesting.

Each slice provides 110 calories, 1.5 grams of total fat, no saturated or trans fats, 160 mg of sodium (7% of the daily value), 4 grams of fiber and sugars plus 5 grams of protein.

The ingredients list is a little lengthy but standard, and it starts with whole wheat flour, water, sugar and wheat gluten. I bought Arnold Healthy Multi-Grain Bread for $2.50 on sale. Unfortunately, the regular retail price is $4.49, but Arnold bread is on sale often - and since I have quite a few grocery stores within driving distance, I can get it often.
