Everyone knows water is good for you. Unfortunately, I have a hard time getting myself to choose water over more exciting and "sparkly" beverages like soda and juice. I have been known to try and convince myself that Sprite is just like water because they're both clear ... pathetic, I know. But I am always on the lookout for a healthy water replacement, so when I passed by Vitazest Vitamin and Fruit Enriched Water I decided to give it a try, especially since they were on sale at 4 for $5.00. There were an abundance of flavors to choose from but the one that really sparked my interest was the Pineapple Mango.
The first thing I noticed about this "water" was how bright the color is. Vitazest has the appearance of juice. I got home, so excited to try this that I didn't even pour it into a glass. From the first sip, it tastes good ... really good. It's sweet but not overly so - just the right amount of flavor and thirst quenching goodness. Honestly, I had to recheck the label because I almost didn't believe it was "water."
Each 20 ounce bottle contains no calories, no sugar and no caffeine. Vitazest also boasts 125% daily vitamin C as well as a large percentage of other daily vitamins such as vitamin D, E and B. Sadly though, I wouldn't really qualify this as water, because by definition, water has no ingredient list and this product does. Not that there is anything truly horrible to be found on it; the first 3 ingredients are filtered water, natural flavors and citric acid followed by a variety of vitamins.
Personally I really enjoyed this and will continue to buy it. I like the fact that there are no calories and no sugar, which isn't always true of other vitamin waters.
