I picked up a bottle of VitaminWater Zero Mega-C the other day for $1.25 because I had had good experiences with the VitaminWater 10 Multi-V Lemonade and VitaminWater Zero Lemonade Flavored Water. I'm a HUGE fan of low calorie flavored water as it gets me guzzling my daily recommended amount of liquid daily, and I had high hopes for this grape-raspberry flavored V Water.
Unfortunately for me, this stuff tastes Gross - with a capital G
! Ever wonder what the water version of grape children's Tylenol chewables would be? Look no further than VitaminWater Zero Mega-C.
It's sweetened with what must be the bitter part of the Stevia plant, and it really just tastes like chewable medicine ... I could barely drink a couple sips, let alone the whole bottle. This wasn't just borderline bad - it was barely tolerable!
Of course, each 8 ounce serving provides no calories, and also has 120% of the daily value for vitamin C, 40% for vitamins B3, 5, 6, and 12, and also contains zinc and electrolytes.
Unfortunately, the barely there nutrition cannot make up for the horrendous taste. I purchased a 20 ounce bottle of VitaminWater Zero Mega-C for $1.29 - and that was money down the toilet. In fact, they should be paying me to drink that mess. As you can probably deduce, I'm not buying this flavor EVER again. It's a good thing that I already had a positive experience with VitmainWater Zero drinks, or I would probably never touch another one again.
