At the supermarket, I was looking to try one of the various flavors of SoBe LifeWater. In the end, I settled on the Cerimoya Punch because I had never heard of that fruit before the flavor was something totally new to me - and I love learning about new things. When I got home, I looked up some information on Cherimoya and it turns out that another name for it is "Custard Apple" which I'm very familiar with. From what I remember of the taste of the fruit, it's sweet and sort of creamy.
When I took a sip of the Cherimoya SoBe Lifewater, the flavor was sweet, with a slight hint of sour. It was definitely a little different although I couldn't associate it with any particular fruit. SoBe Lifewater uses the sweeteners erythritol and rebiana (stevia PureVia brand) to make this a zero calorie beverage. There weren't any odd 'notes' in the drink - and I've had some bad experiences with Stevia sweetened drinks like VitaminWater Zero Lemonade Flavor.
In addition to being a zero calorie beverage, there is also 35% of the daily value for chromium. 10% for a variety of B vitamins, 40% vitamin C and 20% for vitamin E.
I bought a 20 ounce bottle of SoBe Lifewater Cherimoya Punch for $0.99, and while I though the flavor was decent, on par with Sobe Lifewater Black and Blueberry, both were just okay and nothing to write home about.
Have you tried any flavors of SoBe Lifewater? Which was your favorite?
