I try to drink more water, I really do, but when the choice is between a diet soda and a boring bottle of water, I'll pick the diet soda every time. I love Crystal Light (except for the White Tea Blueberry flavor), but I sometimes feel like cutting down on my artificial sugar consumption. I've heard a lot about Hint Water - Pomegranate Tangerine and Peppermint flavors have been reviewed here - so I decided to pick up a bottle of Hint Pear Water for $1.59 and try it for myself.
I was curious as to what a 'pear' flavored water would taste, with no sugar. The only ingredients in this stuff are listed as: purified water with pear and other natural flavors. I took a cautious sip and found that I really enjoyed the flavor. The fact that the water isn't sweet made it more refreshing, but the pear flavor added a little "je ne sais quoi". The pear flavor is spot-on, too, not artificial at all - just light and refreshing.
There are no calories in Hint Water. The pear flavor is light, but present and like Hint says, "Drink water, not sugar." I say, This is like water plus!
As I mentioned, the price is $1.69 per bottle, which is a little more than a few other brands. This is money well spent if you don't like drinking plain water. Thanks to Hint, I'll now be consuming more good-for-you H2O!
