For all you cream soda fans out there, I have something you should try: Dr. Brown's Diet Cream Soda. When I was growing up, the only type of cream soda I ever had was A&W (regular and diet), and that left a somewhat bad taste in my mouth. Sure, the A&W type is fine, but who wants to drink cream soda that's just "fine"?! Dr. Brown's Diet Cream Soda changed all that.
This soda, like so many others, is sweetened with aspartame, but it doesn't have any artificial like off flavors. On the contrary - this cream soda is everything I imagine cream soda should be: sweet with that characteristic , and satisfying. It's less icky and more delicious than A&W, and it pairs perfectly with ice cream for a float. As with most other "diet" sodas, Dr. Brown's Diet Cream Soda provides no calories, sugars or anything else.
At $1.29 for a 2-liter bottle or $2.99 for a 6-pack, this is something I don't feel bad spending on. I know there is a raging debate about drinking 'diet' sodas, but personally, before I could completely give up sodas, I first had to go down to diet sodas, and eventually I incorporated more water until I no longer needed to drink sodas as often. For people who might take the same path as I did - or know someone who needs to cut down on their soda habit but can't stand the taste of "diet" sodas - then give them Dr. Brown's Diet Cream Soda to try.
